Research On Social Forces Participating In Shaanxi Provincial Public Library Traditional Culture Reading Promotion Service

Traditional culture carries the genes and blood of the Chinese nation and is the basic condition for the Chinese nation to achieve great rejuvenation.China’s excellent traditional culture contains the humanistic ideas,moral concepts and value pursuits formed by the Chinese nation for thousands of years,and has educated generations of Chinese sons and daughters.In modern society,China’s excellent traditional culture is also of great significance for promoting the construction of a socialist cultural power,improving the soft power of national culture,and enhancing cultural self-confidence.Reading is an important means of disseminating culture and improving the cultural literacy of citizens,and the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation can only be carried forward through reading promotion.As a public cultural facility,public libraries have the social responsibility of preserving the cultural and intellectual heritage of mankind and disseminating excellent cultural knowledge,and the social and service nature of public libraries determine that they assume the role of organizers,leaders and implementers in the promotion of traditional cultural reading.With the acceleration of the promotion process of traditional culture reading in China,the traditional culture reading promotion method of public libraries has also changed,from relying entirely on libraries to carry out traditional culture reading promotion services to attracting social forces to engage in traditional cultural reading promotion services in public libraries.Social engage has provided financial,technical and service support for the traditional culture reading promotion service of public libraries,and injected new vitality into the traditional culture reading promotion service of public libraries.Social engage has practical significance such as extending the social education function of public libraries,optimizing the structure of traditional culture reading promotion,improving the quality of traditional culture reading promotion services,and expanding the audience group of traditional culture reading promotion.This paper investigates the current situation of social forces engaging in the traditional culture reading promotion service of Shaanxi Provincial Public Library,including the engaging subjects,engagement methods and contents,focusing on the detailed investigation of the engaging content.The survey found that the social forces engaging in the traditional culture reading promotion services of Shaanxi Provincial Public Libraries mainly include enterprises,non-profit social organizations,schools and individual citizens;the engagement methods include cooperative participation,donation sponsorship and volunteer service;the content of engagement mainly includes engagement in the construction of traditional culture reading promotion service facilities,participation in traditional culture reading promotion volunteer services,and engagement in the holding of traditional culture reading promotion activities.According to the investigation and analysis,the author found that Shaanxi public libraries have problems such as lack of cooperation concepts,imperfect institutional guarantees,lack of evaluation mechanisms and incentive measures in the social engagement,and lack of publicity efforts,traditional forms of activities,and low reader engagement in the promotion of traditional culture reading.In view of this,measures such as encouraging the social engagement,improving policies and regulations,improving effectiveness evaluation,formulating incentive plans,broadening publicity channels,innovating forms of activities,and enhancing reader engagement through research are proposed,hoping to help Shaanxi Provincial Public Libraries in attracting social forces to engage in traditional cultural reading promotion services.
