Construction Of Reading Promotion Service Model For Dyslexia In Public Libraries

In March 2018,The First Meeting of The Thirteenth National People's Congress of People's Republic of China as well as The First Meeting of The Thirteenth National Committee of The Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference were convened as scheduled in Beijing.Many deputies to the National people's Congress and members of CPPCC who pay close attention to the “Nationwide Reading”activities have submitted relevant proposals on the topic of Nationwide Reading construction.Nationwide Reading is not only an important factor to improve the personal quality of the citizen but also an important approach to inherit human knowledge and continue the culture.The proposals which put forward in the “two sessions”,a major event and great platform for conveying aspirations and offering advice on social and political life of China undoubtedly foreshadow the "Era of Nationwide Reading” has approached.At the same time,how to promote the reading activities all over the country and all social groups will become the most important task in the new period.The public library,as an important cultural place to provide equal and fair service,must be an important force to promote the Nationwide Reading.With the prosperity of the library,the "Nationwide reading" has already become the social hot spot and the research focus.However,in the study,it is bound to be waste of energy that only standing in the angle of the library to make every effort to seek fame,appeal and effect.The public library should always read the purpose of reading promotion and the object of service.Makes it clear that the reader is the core force of the reading promotion and pays more attention to the reader's reading behavior,reading process and reading effect,especially for the special people who have obstacles in the reading activities.Providing targeted reading service for this reading group is conductive to realize the true meaning of " nationwide participation in reading " as well as maximize the significance of “Reading Promotion”.This paper sums up the theoretical research and service status of reading promotion services especially for dyslexic groups in public libraries at home and abroad.Defines the related concepts of public library,reading,reading promotion,dyslexia and the reading brain mechanism and analyzes the importance and advantages of public libraries in providing reading promotion services for people with dyslexia in the context of the Era of nationwide reading.This paper also investigates 31 provincial scale public libraries in China on the aspect of reading promotion service for dyslexia group,summarizes the present situation of public library service in this field.Combining the problems existing in the present stage with the related knowledge and research results of the reading brain mechanism in the people with dyslexia,the model of reading promotion service for the group with dyslexia was established.It provides theoretical and practical improvement strategies for the self-construction of public libraries as well as the continuous improvement and maturity of reading promotion services.
