Research On The Social Service Work Of University Libraries In Shanghai

The University Library's social service is the need of the times and social development.While providing high-quality services for teaching and scientific research in schools,university libraries should actively open up to a wider range of social fields,which helps to realize the sharing of literature resources in university libraries by the public,to meet the needs of social and cultural development and economic construction,and to improve the ideological and cultural level of the whole nation..The development of social services in university libraries is also the need of their own sustainable development.It can not only improve the utilization rate of Library documents,enhance librarians' awareness of social services,give full play to the advantages of information resources in University libraries,but also promote the development of University Libraries and school teaching and scientific research.The content structure of this paper is composed of the following parts: In the first chapter,the introduction summarizes the research status of social services of University Libraries at home and abroad,and summarizes the research ideas and methods of this paper.The second chapter puts forward the concept of social service in University libraries.Based on the theory of public goods and virtual enterprise,this paper points out how these two theories are applied to the social service work in University libraries.The article also analyses the feasibility of the social service work in Shanghai University libraries.In the third chapter,the author analyses the current situation of the social service of books in Shanghai's colleges and universities through the way of network investigation,and takes the actual situation of the social service of University Libraries in the southwestern part of Shanghai as the case analysis material,analyses the obstacles faced by the social service of University Libraries in Shanghai,and makes an in-depth analysis of the article.The reasons for the problems are the restriction of ideas,the imperfection of relevant policies and regulations,the shortage of human resources and the shortage of funds.The fourth chapter introduces the characteristics of social services in University Libraries in the United States and Japan and Its Enlightenment to China.The fifth chapter puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the social service work of University Libraries in Shanghai,such as: enhancing the awarenessof social service,striving for the support of laws and policies;striving for financial support and strengthening the construction of human resources;strengthening the communication and cooperation with the community;strengthening the cooperation with enterprises and local governments;and strengthening the construction of websites.Construction of document information resources protection center.The last part of the conclusion summarizes the current situation of social service in Shanghai University libraries,and looks forward to the future after taking corresponding countermeasures and measures.
