With the development and prosperity of information society, the value and value in use of information serve an important purpose in achieving the all-round development in various field such as social modernization, economic prosperity, education popularization, cultural exchange . with the increasing demand for information and knowledge, the capability and merits of college library in the field of document resource, human resource, information technology create favorable condition for the socializaion of information service. As a public access point of information society, college library takes advantage of the opportunity of information society, provides the chance and right of accessing information democratically, nutures the information awareness of the public and also plays an important role in the process of information development. Recently, comprehensive benefits of the information socializaion is increasingly revealed, which is due to the close connection between college and society, especially between the theoretical research and pratical activity. It proved that the socialization of information service in college library is irresistible and furthermore how to make college library open to the public and satisfy the need of the public not only the demand of college teaching and researching is becoming a fastgrowing area of interest among librarians.Based on public good theories and librarian professional knowledge, this paper researches on the strategies to achieve socialization of information services in college libraries in the vastly expanding information era , The research ideas are as follows: comparative research is conducted on the successful experience and operation of social service in college libraries home and abroad to give insight into the social responsibility of college libraries, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by college libraries in the process of its development. It is pointed out that the socialization of information services provided by college libraries is an important approach that meets the need for social development, enforces easy accessibility of information, and takes into consideration both equality and efficiency in the process. Public good theories are used to explain that being a public-product-to-be, the offering of information services by college libraries is essential and also feasible in promoting the sharing and efficient allocation of public information resources. From the perspective of public product, the successful experience of public information service offered by SZAD is used as a case study example to discuss various factors that restrain SZAD's public information service, i.e. a comprehensive analysis and discussion on the investment subjects of SZAD's public information service, choices of product offerings, the upgrading of the comprehensive social service capability, and the adverse effects of a slowly evolving public sharing status on the easy accessibility of information. In the last part of the paper, real work experience at SZAD library is used to formulate specific strategies that would promote its public information service potential.
