| Building a modern public culture service system is an important system design to ensure basic cultural right and interest of the public, build a strong socialist culture country, and realize the China’s great dream of revitalizing the Chinese nation. As one of the basic public culture facilities, library undertakes the main content of public culture service, and has become an important component of building modern public culture facilities. However, with the rapid economic and social development and continuous speedup of urbanization process, the public libraries and community libraries can’t meet relevant service requirement of society and the public. The libraries of higher learning have many advantages in literature information resource, network communication facilities, professional talents, information service and technology, etc. It has great research value to research how to meet the teaching and scientific research requirements of the universities and colleges, and at the same time, break blocked state, response to the public’s appeal, promote socialized service of the libraries of higher learning to participate in the building of modern public culture service system.Considering the times requirement of building a modern public culture service system, and the actual situation of socialized service of the libraries of higher learning, this paper starts with corresponding concepts of the public culture service system and the socialized service of libraries of higher learning, discusses in depth the role of the libraries of higher learning played in building modern public culture service system, and considers that the libraries of higher learning must realize socialized service. Through analysis of the present situation of socialized service of the libraries of higher learning, the existing problem is found out and the reasons for it are analyzed, and at last, the strategy for improvement is put forward. |
