Semiotics,as a master of formalism in 20 th century,It is not only a mature and sophisticated discipline,but also an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approach which contribute to the development of Chinese television art.Based on this background,the study of semiotics in the area of television art is also the trend of the times.The accompanying text occupies an important position in semiotics.It broadly and profoundly affects the author's creation of text,the presentation of text,and the extension of textual meaning.Taking the television program The Reader as an example,from the aspects of conceptual combing and literature research in this article,I will use Professor Zhao Yiheng's views to deeply analyze the accompanying text.Then this passage will reveal the significance of the accompanying text research and application to China's television programs.The paper is divided into five parts to discuss:The first chapter of the passage mainly introduces the historical development of accompanying text theory.The development of accompanying text theory mentioned by Professor Zhao Yiheng,and it cannot be separated from Kelisidiwa's theory of intertextuality and Renaite's Cross-text theory.They provide theoretical sources for accompanying text.In this chapter,the three main types of accompanying texts of Professor Zhao Yiheng are highlighted,namely,generative accompanying text,dominant accompanying text,and explanatory accompanying text.These accompanying texts are further divided into seven types: pre-text,Meta text,sub-text,type text,chain text,and pre/post-text.The second chapter analyzes previous text of The Reader.Celebrities are invited to the program to read a short extract from masterpiece domestically or abroad.Hence the profound program connotation is constructed with producers' rich television experience.It reflects the important role played by the previous text in the construction of the program culture.With the help of the producers' experience in cultural history and television history,The Reader reflects strong cultural atmosphere through the selection of text content and theme words as well as drawing on the experience of television interview forms.The third chapter is about the prominent role of the sub-text in enriching the program text.First,the character image has its own characteristics,which increases the influence of the program;second,the careful construction of the program space,which makes the entire program space warm and elegant,without losing the situation of reading aloud,as well as increasing the affinity of the program.The fourth chapter mainly discusses how The Reader realizes the extension and dissemination of the meaning of the program in the interactive context.Firstly,The Reader enters the audience's vision through various forms of connection;Secondly,it has creatively increased the way of offline interaction,forming a dense network of online and offline,traditional media and modern media,so that the audience can receive the influence of the program whenever and wherever possible;Finally,as a follow-up program material---"Looking for readers" activity,it has introduced audience into the television,creating a real reading scene and truly making a beautiful scene.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the shortcomings in the use of the previous text,sub-text,and chain text in the TV program The Reader.In combination with the success of the program,suggestions are made from the selection of themes,the aesthetic art of the program,the integration of various media.
