ABB,which is one of the world's largest suppliers of industrial robots,is in urgent need of improving the level of enterprise management to improve efficiency and reduce cost facing the growing market demand and the challenges brought by the local robotics industry and other "three giants" companies.The YuMi industrial robot,as a product from ABB's own research and development,is the first truly man-machine collaboration robot in the world.In its research and development to the commercialization process,the rational use of the project schedule management methods can ensure the quality,shorten the delivery date and improve efficiency,so as to achieve cost savings and improve the competitiveness of ABB.In this paper,regarding project YuMi as the research object,the project management theory,project schedule and control management were studied and discussed.Based on Critical Path Method(CPM)and Program/Project Evaluation and Review Technique(PERT),we breakdown the WBS work structure of project YuMi,make the network planning plan,determine the critical path and the progress control method,analyze the existing problems and risks and adjust the schedule for optimization.We find a method to make and adjust the project schedule for other similar projects in ABB or other companies,through the study of project schedule of project YuMi.It can effectively reduce the risk of project failure,and integrate the project schedule with other elements of the project.
