In recent years,a dramatic increase in the demand for customized software projects have been witnessed.This is mainly due to the increasing development in globalization,networks,openness and specialization.Currently,software projects,which are no longer restricted to large-scale projects everywhere.They have been widely used in all fields of our society,including finance,medical,scientific research and government.Therefore,in order to ensure that the software can be delivered successfully under the constraints of limited resource,the software project schedule management has become the key to the entire project,directly determining the success or failure of the project.Scientific,rational and efficient software project schedule management ensure that the entire project process meet the pre-set goals,also control and optimize cost and quality,thereby reducing project risk and improving customer satisfaction.Due to the increasing trend of software scale and complexity,traditional project management methods cannot adapt to modern software project management requirements.We should adopt more advanced project schedule management methods,such as Program/Project Evaluation and Review Technique(PERT),Critical Chain Project Management(CCPM),etc.,which are of great significance for the current software project problem solving and management.In this paper,we carry on the detailed case analysis,with the CTZG software project of H Company as our main object,to find out the progress management problem which exists in the execution process of the software project and the influencing factors leading to the project extension.We also optimize the progress of software project management with the combination of advanced and scientific project management theory and the industry's mainstream network planning technology.The continuous improvement based on the PDCA model is carried out to improve the project management level,to ensure the safety of project and improve the project completion probability.The research of this paper not only provide the practical significance to solve the problem of the delaying in the progresses of CTZG software project,but also offer a significant reference in the project schedule management optimization for other enterprises,especially for those small and medium-sized software enterprises.
