Outdoor competitive sport reality shows have become a sharp weapon for various satellite TVs and new media to increase their rating.Among them,the Korean entertainment models dominate.Faced with policies of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television,the saturated market status,the multimedia forms and diversified demands,China's outdoor competitive sport reality shows should immediately make a breakthrough to get rid of the fixed development pattern.The promotion and development strategies of programs should also be adjusted in response to the communication environment of the new era.Systematic and theoretical exploration and guidance are needed for both exploration of content resources and selection of media channels.Only when the communication dilemmas facing most outdoor competitive sport reality shows are clarified and their development path are clarified can feasible communication strategies be planned and implemented to achieve the expected communication effects.In the coming future,outdoor competitive sport reality shows will embrace a sound momentum,and lead the overall communication pattern of domestic TV programs.Broadcast of “The Amazing Race”,an European and American style reality show launched by Shenzhen TV Channel 1,marked innovation and exploration of China in the field of outdoor competitive sport reality shows."The Amazing race" shows in many Korean heald mode of outdoor sports reality show success in counter attack,obtain ratings,word of mouth double harvest,There must be a successful communication strategy.But it also faced with the communication difficulties of the same type of programs,starting from the communication difficulties and putting forward the corresponding communication strategy,it is worthy of in-depth discussion and research,so as to provide reference and inspiration for other programs.This research adopts theories of Communications,TV Art and Journalism as the theoretical basis,and literature analysis and case analysis as the research methods.Based on findings of previous scholars,this paper adopts an excellent outdoor competitive sport reality show,“The Amazing Race”,as a research object.By combining theories with practices,the author investigates into the whole outdoor competitive sport reality show system based on the case study of “The Amazing Race”,and comes to conclusions about communication strategies.This research consists of five parts.The second chapter analyzes the transmission characteristics of the program "The Amazing Race",which subdivided into taking advantage of current event hot spot effects,emphasizing the integration of the giving-receiving mode,giving play to the guide function of social media and setting up the ideas of mass-decentralized transmission.Taking "The Amazing Race" for example,from four aspects of the integration difficulties of program introduction,content homogeneity hinder competition,lack of audience viscous and transmission channel is solidified and single,the third chapter elaborated that China's outdoor sports reality show generally faced up with the communication difficulties at present and the specific reasons for the above difficulties.Finally,the fourth chapter puts forward the corresponding communication strategy aiming at the communication difficulties of outdoor sports reality show,which is realizing cultural restructuring of indigenous innovation,breaking a stalemate of homogeneity with differentiation,resulting in chain effect with brandy operation and opening Interactive avenue with all media strategy.So as to provide new directions and ideas for the adjustment and innovation of the communication strategy of reality TV show.Only facing up with the difficulties of outdoor sports reality show from the program content,competition environment and communication platform squarely,can we remedy the situation and seek strategic breakthroughs and new motivation.
