Study Lean Process And Continue Improvement For PC Quality Testing Process In R&D Phase

This study is based on quality test characteristics of the personal computer during the research and Development(R&D) phase, aiming at analyzing the problems from customer's complaints appeared in the practical work. It improves the test process through the case analysis the methods of improving the testing process during R&D phase.This thesis makes clear the importance of quality test in the R&D phase in the enterprises. It is an important guarantee of measuring whether mass production is possible and the products can come into market successfully. Through case study, this thesis points out some problems of work efficiency and timeliness during the process of R&D phase. Such as, problems of feedback process, Microsoft certification process, redundancy problem of test plans, process of materials flow, process of testing shipping equipment and the problems of the process of testing the products in the mass production. The flowchart analysis is used to improve the process of problem feedback during R&D phase and concurrent thinking to improve Microsoft test process. Methods of Quality Function Development(QFD) and Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange, Simplify(ECRS) are used to improve the arrangement of the test plan. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis(FMEA) are used to improve the progress of testing materials flow, shipping equipment, testing products in the mass production. The method of AHP is used to conduct the risk assessment of new materials. The Hungarian method is used to solve the extremely small assignment problems in the test of R&D and plants.This thesis verifies recommendations and new process when they are applied in the test of R&D of the new products, demonstrates the advantages of new process in real conditions, and finally concludes that it needs to strengthen the research part in the optimize measures and follows-up the quality testing process in the personal computers in the R&D Phase.
