Lean Management Principles Applied In The Delivery Of Communications Engineering

The economic crisis of2008make the telecom operators shrinking their invest-ment and exert higher demand for our telecom equipment provider. The bullet train crash in Wenzhou and the Shanghai subway crash rang the alarm for us. Although the two accidents was caused by a serious design flaw in the signals, it cast a shadow on our business because the signal transferred by the telecom system. So how to meet the customer needs and deliver the engineering safety and efficiency become more important. And the increasing fierce market competition and the pressure of cost down in project has brought great challenges for us.So in the heated competition of market, we should blazed a new trail.Now the model of telecom engineering delivery is according to the9principals of project management,and combined with the characteristics of communication engineering. Then the article analyzes and elaborate the principles of lean thinking.According to the lean thinking principles, I extend6principles to the communication engineering based on the lean thinking principles. The communication suitable principles can be divided in two sorts. The first sorts is about the delivery process, it includes the standard operation procedure, the integration project management and the customer decided delivery results. Another principles sort is about the delivery work systems. It includes the integrate project office establishment, high quality persons being expert in one and good at many, and engineering outsourcing system establishment. Finally,through the example of application, the article analyzes how to apply these principles.The lean thinking principles of communication engineering in the telecom equipment provider are representative in the domestic telecom equipment enterprise.
