The Mobile Phone Software Rapid Development Process Based On Lean Thinking

As the mobile phone industry through rapid growth period, domestic mobile phonesoftware companies are facing more and more challenges, such as the competition fromdomestic and foreign competitors, tight schedule, more requirements, rapid change andpressure on cost. Targeting at improving this condition, mobile phone software quickdevelopment process based on lean thinking is studied in this paper, to ensure the quality, fastdevelopment, improve customer satisfaction research purpose.In this paper, the research background and the present status is described first, and thensystematically elaborates the software process model, agile and lean thinking theory. Researchhow to apply lean thinking to the mobile phone development process on the following threedimensions, and design a tool to check the effects of the process:1. In the mobile phone software process improvement of dimensions, a way to useanalysis tool in lean thinking, known as value stream mapping, is proposed in thispaper to analyze each node during mobile phone development process and identifythe waste. Learning analyzing failures, investigating their root cause, makingeffective improvement measures, and ensuring that the same failure will not occuragain. With this cycle process, mobile phone software development will be speed upand the quality of mobile phone software is improved.2. In the organization structure of dimensions, the organization structure of quick to the team member’s work enthusiasm, exert their subjective initiative, improvework efficiency.3. In the product delivery of dimensions, a way with small batches, short iterationsdelivery is put forward basing on small batches lean production principle.Meanwhile, a way about how to define task priority, estimate software workload anditerative delivery order is studied in this paper. It’s emphasized by strengthening thecommunication with customer, timely response customer feedback, and improvingcustomer satisfaction.Finally, discussing the project management environment Lean Software Development,analysis, design and implementation Statistical tool applying Lean Thinking, and using in amobile phone software project case. Production thinking used in mobile phone softwaredevelopment process is systematically introduced. The research content and furtherimprovement are summarized finally.
