There is no doubt that reading is an important means of acquiring knowledge and learning skills in the knowledge economy. Children are the hope of the nation and the future of our motherland. So doing a good job of their reading promotion can really promotes the whole society's development of culture. Juvenile reading promoting is the foundation of nationwide reading and an indispensable link. Public libraries, as social education institutions and cultural institutions, undertake the mission of promoting social reading, as well as taking the responsibility of preschoolers' promotional activities. At present, reading promotion of public libraries in our country is mainly for school-age children and adults, while preschool children are ignored, which lead to the slow development of their reading promotion activities.Through in-depth analysis of the body, the goal and the content as well as the way of the promotion about Shanxi preschoolers' library reading activities and the author also made a deep analysis from the point of event management. At the same time questionnaires and interviews were applied.270 readers who were selected in a random sampling method in Shanxi Province Library were questionnaires distributed and filled out the questionnaires present. And a part of the small readers on-the-spot were selected to conduct interviews. According to research the demand of readers and their parents,the author get a good understanding of needs given by readers and parents so as to analyze and summarize their requirements. Starting from the differences of the two sides of supply and demand, suggestions were given for preschool children reading promotion activities in Shanxi Province. In the activity level, the author offered a proposal on the basis of classification thought to children of different ages, parents and staff of preschool education institutions respectively. What's more, from the management level, the brand level, resource level, staff level and social cooperation level, effective measures are put forward in order to achieve the best results. Hope to provide a favorable reference to the libraries which are of the same type as well as under the same circumstances.
