Reading promotion is a library mainstream service that has gradually emerged in recent years by the library in order to enhance its public benefits, enhance the cultural quality of citizens, and under the call of the National Reading Promotion Regulations. However, with the gradual hotening of reading and promotion activities, its drawbacks have also emerged. The problems of homogenization, publicization, and low efficiency have plagued the development of library reading and promotion activities.Since the introduction of the human library in China in 2008,it has gradually gained more stable development in the library. Some reading promotion workers have begun to introduce the human library as a new type of reading promotion model into the daily work of the library. This has brought unlimited vitality and hopes to the library reading promotion service, and has achieved many achievements. As a large inland province,Shanxi Province has a slower development of the library industry than the eastern coastal areas. The reading promotion model still stays in the traditional lectures, forums and other forms. It is difficult to get rid of it,and human library is still in the initial stage. Therefore, this paper hopes to take the readers of Shanxi Province as the research object, deeply investigate the development status of the reading promotion activities of the Shanxi Provincial human Library, and analyze the data of the questionnaire survey to improve the development of the human library in Shanxi Province. In order to carry out in-depth research on the reading promotion activities of the Shanxi Provincial Human Library, and propose a long-term mechanism for reading and promotion, the full text research is divided into three parts. The first part contains the first chapter and the second chapter. The first chapter is the introduction of research. It discusses the research background and research significance of the fusion of human library and reading promotion. At the same time,it elaborates the research status at home and abroad, and points out the research methods and research contents of this thesis. The second chapter introduces the theoretical basis of the reading promotion of human library, introduces the concept definition, characteristics, organizational model and the concept and form of reading promotion of human library, and explains the natural advantages of the combination. The fourth section uses the “Fresh·Yue” human library as a classic case as a real example of a human library and reading promotion. The second part is the data analysis part of this article, including the third chapter and the fourth chapter. The third chapter firstly designs questionnaires based on the existing research results, and collects the questionnaires through the combination of field research and network survey.Using the SPSS data analysis function of the questionnaire star platform, the data was sorted and entered, and reliability, validity test, descriptive statistical analysis and factor analysis were performed. After analysis and research, the original 18 items became 14 items, and the original 4 dimensions became 3 dimensions. The new variables were constructed: the operation of the human library, the effect of human library, and the promotion of human library. In the fourth chapter, according to the 14 items reserved,a long-term mechanism for reading and promoting the human library is constructed: establishing the operation mechanism of the human library, establishing the effect guarantee mechanism of the human library, and establishing the promotion mechanism of the human library. The third part is the research summary of this thesis, namely the fifth chapter, which mainly discusses the shortcomings and future prospects of this research topic.
