In the 21st century,with the promotion of the "National Reading" wave,people have gradually realized the importance of reading.Reading for preschool children,as the starting point of national reading,has played a key role in popularizing national reading.The 2009-2018 "National Reading Survey Report" analysis pointed out that our country's 0-8 year old minors are in the stage of cultivating reading habits,with low reading ability and weak reading self-help.In the "Guidelines for Infant and Toddler Library Service",IFLA has formulated the library's service standards for infants and their families,and provided instructions for the infant and toddler services of public libraries in various countries.Public libraries should promote the advancement of preschool children's enlightenment education and should be emphasized and promoted.There have been some research results on the service of preschool children in public libraries in our country,which has promoted the service of preschool children in China,but the service for preschool children in Guizhou Province is still in the exploratory stage.In this context,summarizing the research status of preschool children's services in public libraries in Guizhou Province can provide some theoretical support for improving the service system,and can also provide suggestions for services.This research includes the following parts.The first part,the definition and theoretical basis of related concepts,such as: preschool children,public library preschool children services.The second part summarizes the excellent service cases for preschool children in public libraries at home and abroad.In the third part,through questionnaire surveys were conducted among the librarians and guardians of preschool children in the children's department of the public libraries in Guizhou Province,and conducted a field survey on the services of preschool children in some public libraries in Guizhou Province..The fourth part summarizes the existing problems of preschool children's services in public libraries in Guizhou Province.The fifth part puts forward a development path suitable for preschool children in public libraries in Guizhou Province.The research methods of this paper include fieldwork,case study and questionnaire.Among them,the field survey method is mainly used in the library fieldwork,the case method at home and abroad are analyzed several typical preschool children's services,public library,questionnaire on part of preschool children's parents in public library in Guizhou,understand the library of preschool children's services,to carry out the situation,the service awareness and development Suggestions,etc.There are two innovation points in this study,namely,the innovation of service materials for preschool children in Guizhou public libraries and the innovation of service theory for preschool children in Guizhou public libraries.Through the research and analysis of the problems in the emerging stage of preschool children services in Guizhou Province,such as insufficient government support,limited level of human resources,chaotic paper collection,and small number of preschool children activities,optimization strategies are proposed: strengthen government attention and seek support from other aspects.We should strengthen the construction of service team,provide scientific and rich collection resources,and establish annual reading promotion plan for preschool children.
