Research On The Interaction Between Government And Media In The Management Of Sudden Public Incidents

Since the new century, China has entered a period of frequent public emergencies. How to deal with the emergency public incidents effectively and protect the public interest has become a major issue in front of the government.Communication and communication is an important part in the management of public events. As the leading public event management, the government wants to obtain public understanding, recognition and support, it must be timely, accurate and comprehensive information as a premise, in which the government needs to use the power of the media to guide public opinion, timely and effective to resolve the crisis; as a public event management participants, the media is responsible for the dissemination of information, to meet the public’s right to help the government to carry out public emergencies. Therefore, only the government and the media to form a positive interaction between the two, in order to establish a scientific mechanism for the dissemination of information and communication, so as to effectively deal with sudden public incidents.From the reality of our country, the government and the media in the emergency management of public events is not ideal. The government information disclosure legal definition of fuzzy, "stability is of overriding importance" mindset and on the role of the media to know inadequacy, in public emergency management process are delaying, omission or even hide, false information, and the media because of government transition regulation, the pursuit of their own interests and other factors, there vacancy, aphasia, self-discipline is not strong and so on problems. The government and the media of this kind of not harmonious relationship, it is bound to have a negative impact on the effective disposal of sudden public events.This paper demonstrates the importance of the interaction between government and the media in the management of public events, and then analyzes the main problems in the interaction between the two and the two different management modes and interests.
