In recent years, with the fast development of microelectronics technology、computer technology and digital signal processing (DSP) technology, digital signalprocessing has a rapid development whether in speed or precision. Therefore, more andmore analog signal processing is being replaced by digital technology. As the bridge ofthe analog signal to digital signal, Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) plays a more andmore important role. We can find it in different kinds of electronic products.Based on the analysis of the working principle and the structure types of ADC, thepaper designs a8bit、16Msps Pipeline ADC which will be used in Digital audiobroadcast chip(DAB). Then, the paper analyzes each part of Pipeline ADC, such assampling switch, operational amplifier, comparator, band gap and so on, and gives theresults of simulations and layout.At last, the paper simulated the whole ADC circuit and indicated that this ADCachieves DNL of-0.1LSB~0.1LSB, INL of-0.1LSB~0.2LSB, SFDR of59.85dB,SNDR of49.56dB, ENOB of7.95, total power consumption of27mW. It mainlyreaches the design goal.
