Research Of Remote Meter Reading System Based On Embedded System And GPRS

With the continuous development of society,further implementation of the growth ofelectricity customers and a table to work,a significant increase in power supply enterprisemeter reading workload,meter reading to electricity staff to bring the many obstacles for theinconvenience.This is an urgent need for the using of modern technological means collectingencountered in the new situation and new problems,raising the level of power management.Inthis context,this study selected the GPRS-based embedded remote meter reading system forthe study.In this study,based on GPRS and ARM technology,this study uses the Huawei GTM900Bmodule.In the embedded system application development,having selected real-time embeddedoperating system Linux.The hardware of the system designs a power supply circuit,the meterinterface circuit,memory circuit,monitoring circuit.The software part of the GPRS terminalsoftware designs ideas,focus on compilering system Bootloader,hardware drivers,portableLinux systems and designing client software,etc.Finally,the client software and hardwareplatforms,the purpose of receiving and sending data through the GPRS terminal AT commandtest, collecting all the experimental data.The system can realize the terminal set the user tablenumber,timing,automatic/manual meter reading switching,data query and data transmissionusing GPRS network functions.Experiment and analysis of data shows:the meter reading system is reliable,easy tooperate,and has a certain practical value,To provide technical support to the development ofautomated meter reading system.
