| With the development of economy and the improvement of people's living standard, conventional meter reading has become troublesome work and is not adapt to the progress of society any more. However, with the rapid development of electronic technology, computer technology, communications technology, intelligently remote automatic meter reading (AMR) has become possible to replace tedious hand labor and provide higher quality services.Based on a project, an intelligent automatic meter reading and remote detection system is developed to achieve the intelligent management and monitoring for an apartment electro-power. It not only increases the management efficiency greatly, but also improves the electro-safety.First, several conventional meter reading systems are analyzed in this paper, with their characteristics, efficiency and sites in point.Secondly, the article introduces the design of an automatic meter reading and detection systems, which is amalgamated a long-distance communications networks, GSM or Ethernet, with a short-distance wire communication network, RS-485 bus or low-voltage power cable. Its performance and the scope of application are discussed in detail.Third, the system hardware design is designed. The paper describes design of two automaticly meter reading (AMR) controllers in detail, which are based on a STC12C4052 MCU, or a PL3105 MCU, and the communication between the different networks of modulation and demodulation devices. The article discusses technical problems and improved methods of short-distance wire communication, and discusses reliability and anti-jamming design.Fourth, the system software is designed with VC++ and asemble language. The reliable transmission of instructions and data is achieced, and the intelligent management of electric power database and an automaticly perambulatory detection are brought to success.After the system hardware and software are designed, the debugging on-line and the test of the whole system are carried on, and the system is improved by the test data analysis. And the whole system is applyed to a project. |
