The Basics of Computer Applications is one of a compulsory common corecourses for medical undergraduate students in military medical university, andthis course has played an basic, comprehensive, and leading role in culturing theinformation technology knowledge, ability and accomplishments of a student.But in the current computer teaching of colleges and universities, for students,there are problems demanding prompt solution of computer foundation being inirregularity, learning being short of motivation, learning interest being not high,attention being not concentrated in class, the instructional mode being single,and the effectiveness of instruction being not good. Aiming at the existingproblems, and combined with the learning and living speciality of students inmilitary academies, for the course of Basics of Computer Applications, thepractical exploration and research are done for the task-based teaching pattern.The task-based teaching method is an effective teaching pattern which appliesthe theory of creating learning environment, theory of constructivism, and theory of humanism to teaching, currently the teaching in some vocational-technical schools has already been done preliminary experiment and application,and obtained good effect, it has been proved that it is an typical effectiveteaching pattern being applicable to the courses with operability and practicality.Therefore, to introduce the task-based teaching method in the practical teachingof the Basics of Computer Applications aims to arouse learning interest andlearning motivation of students through "tasks", to enhance the students’computer application ability and information technology accomplishments, andculture the students’ practical and operational capacity and the problemanalyzing and solving capability, thus to enhance the autonomic learning ability,innovation ability, and cooperative team spirit of the students in overall.The thesis has five parts, the first part analyzes the subject studybackground and existing condition through research on relevant literature andthrough investigation and realization of existing condition of teaching, pointsout the necessity of computer teaching reform for the military medicalcolleges and universities. The second part puts emphasis upon setting forth thebasic idea, theory and material basis of task-based teaching method, andestablishes a perfect task-based teaching pattern chart. The third part putsemphasis upon discussing the practical exploration process and researchmethod of the task-based teaching method for the course of the Basics ofComputer Applications, and discussing in detail the teaching implementationprocess, instructional design principles and requirements of task-basedteaching method for the discipline of computer application. The fourth partmainly discusses and analyses the practical study results of the task-basedteaching method, and affirmed that the practical teaching reform based on thetask-based teaching method for the course of Basics of Computer Applications has very big promoter action for arousing learning interest and learningactiveness of students and enhancing the effectiveness of instruction, andprovides good practice base and method reference for the task-based teachingmethod to be used effectively in the teaching for the practical and operationalcourses of military medical colleges and universities under the informationtechnology condition. The fifth part is a brief summary on the practicalsubject study on the task-based teaching method for the Basics of ComputerApplications, points out the limitation of subject study and existing limitationsand problems in the research process at the time of affirming the achievements,and in this part it earnestly thinks and looks ahead to the subsequent researchdirection and way of thinking.
