In this thesis, we mainly studied the design and concrete implementation of a ship-based radar signal processor. We have introduced the modern radar technology of digital pulse compression, MTD, CFAR etc., and simulated these algorithms according to concrete project. The system solves the conflict between radar range and distance resolution through the pulse compression, detecting moving target through MTD, and finally through the constant false alarm (CFAR) to realize the whole system's target detection. Further, we introduced a general signal processing board which is based on ADSP-TS101S, a high-speed general digital signal processor, and introduced the use of DSP and FPGA in the system, and pointed out the problems that should be paid attention in engineering design and practice, and analyzed the performance of this system, finally introduced the system of major software implementation process of algorithm. This system adopts parallel pipe-line structure and has the advantage of high processing speed, high-precision, good versatility, high reliability and easy to maintain etc.
