Pulse compression technique is widely used in modern radar systems,to resolve the contradiction between the distance and resolution. Radar emits wide pulse to ensure the distance,and gets narrow pulse by using corresponding pulse compression method when receiving. This is Pulse compression. The fast development of digital signal processing technology provides us with the possibility of numeralization of radar pulse compression processing.This dissertation mainly studies the hardware system realization of the radar multi-waveform digital pulse compression processing system in frequency domain. Under the guide of the matched filtering theory, the pulse compression system, based on FPGA EP1K100QC208-1 and 4 pieces of high performance ADSP21160M, was developed successfully. This system can process linear frequency modulation signals (LFM), nonlinear frequency modulation signals (NLFM) and Taylor quadriphase code signals with time width under 42μs and band width under 5MHz. The experimental results demonstrate that the specification characteristics meet the requirements of practical radar systems.The main content and creative work in this dissertation include:(1) Design a high precision sampling circuit based on a dual channel ADC AD10242 to provide data for the whole system.(2) According to protocol and request of the system, design control logic to let the system work properly and steadily。Design a dual-port RAM in FPGA to store the data and to match the frequency between sampling and processing system.(3) Design a parallel processing system based on four ADSP21160M chips to realize pulse compression in frequency domain. All the DSPs share the external bus, communicate with each other and transfer the result data through Linkport.(4) Design an output board to process the result data , transfer digital data out and realize digital to analog conversion.(5) Debug and improve on the system hardware...
