Pulse compression technique is widely used in modern radar systems. Large timeband product signals such as linear frequency modulation signals (LFM), nonlinear frequency modulation signals (NLFM), phase coded signals and so on are used in pulse compression technique to improve the resolution in range domain.This dissertation mainly studies the radar multi-waveform digital pulse compression processing system in frequency domain based on FPGA and multi-DSP. In this dissertation the pulse compression performances of linear frequency modulation signals (LFM), nonlinear frequency modulation signals (NLFM) and design of their side-lobes suppression filters are analyzed, and design of the pulse compression program of 4 pieces of ADSP21160 in the processing unit and the program of single piece of ADSP21160 and FPGA in the interface unit of the pulse compression system are introduced in detail. The experimental results demonstrate that the specification characteristics meet the requirements of practical radar systems.The main content and creative work in this dissertation include:(1) The characteristics of the LFM signals with band width equaling 5MHz, time width in 9μs~42μs, NLFM signals with band width equaling 5MHz, time width in 9μs~21μs are analyzed in frequency domain pulse compression. The corresponding side-lobes suppression filters are designed and optimized.(2) Design and optimize the pulse compression program of 4 pieces of ADSP21160 in the processing unit and the program of single piece of ADSP21160 in the interface unit.(3) Design the fast calculation of modulus of 16 bit fix-point complex number and time logic of pulse compression system based on FPGA(EP1K100QC208).(4) Debug the software and hardware of pulse compression system and the system in radar. The system is ultimately used in radar system successfully.
