After analysis on conventional active testing system, a newly high-accuracy automatic testing system is designed and proposed for the demand of modem test on the image and graduation lean of pointing system for gun .The basic principle of the previous image and graduation lean testing is on human eyes' judgement, by which a on-prism adjust of pointing system with unqualified indexes is made to reduce and remove image and graduation lean. In this process, the angles of image and graduation lean are collimated, read and calculated through a series of optical bench and advanced lens. As a result, this method is bounded to bring out subjective errors. However, with the wide use of digital imaging processing and CCD camera work, the automatic testing of image and graduation lean in a optical system is viable. This system would dismiss the subjective errors of traditional method, and provide more objective results.By experiments, the specific technical indexes, measurement scope±10°; precision≤1' .This testing system would serve the pointing system on light weapons as an up-to-date devices.
