| With the continuous development of the Internet and mobile social media,the development of online video has driven the printing culture to gradually turn to visual culture,and the transmission of information has shifted from text to images and then to video.As a new media,video blog has built a broader stage for users to present themselves.According to the financial report of Station B in the second quarter of2022,the number of monthly active users of Station B exceeded 300 million and the daily average active users reached 83.5 million.Focusing on video recording methods and social functions,the content creation of video blogs meets the bloggers’ needs to share daily life and record life,and is also a pursuit of self-expression and value realization.Therefore,the content creation process of video blogs is actually a self presentation of the creators.With the increasing importance and popularity of video blogs,the research on the self presentation behavior of creators has become particularly important.This paper starts from the theory of self presentation in the mimetic theory,and analyzes the relationship between the video blog platform and the creators’ self presentation,as well as the creators’ video blog creation process,dilemma and optimization behavior.First of all,compared with Goffman’s platform in the era of interpersonal communication,the video blog platform has undergone profound changes in the five aspects of performance stage,performance mode,performance content,performance subject and performance audience.Secondly,on the video blog performance stage,the creators establish roles by setting up scenes and using symbols;The role is presented by hiding the process to build the image,strengthening the image with identity support,and controlling the image with interactive questions and answers;Create a personal IP maintenance role by creating an emotional community.In addition,this paper analyzes the dilemma faced by video blog creators in their self presentation behavior,which is mainly reflected in the risk of self landscaping,social barriers,self-identity errors and privacy exposure.In order to solve the dilemma of self presentation of video bloggers,this paper proposes the following four solutions:transmitting scientific information,periodic updating,creators’ linkage,and media platform protection.It is hoped that this can provide effective strategic support for the effective expression of self presentation of video bloggers,and improve the quality of future video blog content creation.This paper introduces the theory of self presentation from the perspective of the behavior process of the creative subject,analyzes the content creation of video blogs in depth,expands the application scope of relevant theories such as self presentation,and provides theoretical guidance for the content creation of video blogs in the future. |
