With the updating of Internet technology,various new forms of content and application products have emerged.The short video industry has passed its heyday and is now entering a period of declining dividends.Compared to the 15 seconds of fast fragmented content,video blogs have won the favor of a group of young people with its leisurely narrative rhythm and richer content.In 2018,due to the promotion of celebrities and incentive activities initiated by major video social platforms,more and more users were attracted by video blogs,and many of them were inspired to start shooting and become video bloggers.In this context,a large number of video blogging works have emerged,and 2018 has also been called the “Year of Video Blogging”,which brings new opportunities for people to express themselves online.The video blog,which is characterized by authenticity,storytelling and personality,meets the needs of young people for personalized dialogue sharing and unconstrained Songquan Doctrine-that is,neither close nor alienate from the social circle,and becomes a new form of self-presentation in the era of mobile internet.In this thesis,the author uses Python technology to obtain and analyze the data from relevant literature and materials,and studies the virtual ethnography of video blogs on platforms such as Bilibili and Weibo.At the same time,the author uses interview method to interview 14 video blog users,so as to obtain the research data.In addition to the above,the author also combines Gofman's parody theory and Meyrowitz's research ideas that new media create new scenes and new scenes promote new behaviors to analyze the new scenes created by video blogs and the self-presentation behaviors in the scenes.The thesis is divided into four parts: First of all,the author sorts out the development of video blog from two different dimensions of time and space,and clarifies the basic connotation of video blog by comparing and analyzing the differences between video blog and short video.Secondly,the author analyzes the characteristics of video blog generation scenes from two aspects: real scenes and virtual scenes.In the third part,by analyzing the collected data and interview materials of video blog users,and combining with the author's own participatory observation of blog partition on Bilibili.com,the author analyzes and expounds the self-presentation behavior of video blog users from three aspects: the classification of video blog presentation behavior,the characteristics of presentation content and the motivation of self-presentation.In the last part,the author critically discussed the issues of overact,aesthetic violence,and invasion of privacy in the self-presentation of bloggers.
