The modernization of ancient library science to the western paradigm is an extremely important part of the development history of Chinese library science.Chinese library science was formed in the literature collection and management activities for thousands of years.It has already possessed rich research content and academic ideas,but it has not formed an independent academic system because of the traditional academic environment.In other words,the academic content and academic thoughts of ancient library science are scattered in the practical experience of document collation and academic research,and it has not formed a specialized discipline paradigm.Because of this,the development of modern library science fell into a misunderstanding for a time,and the view that there was no library and no library science in ancient China emerged.It is true that ancient China did not form an academic system like modern library science,but the similarity and inheritance between the two cannot be denied.Different cultural environments and social needs shape different academic forms.Ancient Chinese library science was formed in the traditional academic environment and specialized in the knowledge system of document management and management.Modern Chinese library science was the face of ancient library science.The self-adjustment of the new academic environment integrates the "new learning" of the Western-style academic innovation theoretical system borrowed from the trend of western learning from the east.With the help of the development path of academic transformation,we can clarify the existence form of ancient Chinese library science and its modernization development process.It can not only understand itself from the respective academic environment of ancient and modern library science,but also avoid the Western-style academic research of ancient academics.The shortcomings of historiography can also effectively solve the diachronic combing of academic development from the perspective of historiography without revealing the true content of its transformation.At the same time,to explore the modern development of ancient library science with academic transformation as the research background,we must pay attention to its main theme as the word "change",that is,with the help of ancient and modern academic changes,to present the changes in Chinese library science,and this "change" The words also cover the original academic outlook,the process of academic development,and the current academic content.Comprehensive use of literature analysis method,interdisciplinary method,historical research method and other methods,deeply reveal the modernization of ancient library science.First,understand the form of ancient library science,the development process of modern library science,and the Chinese academic environment through document analysis;Secondly,clarify the relationship between the academic environment and the development of library science through the interdisciplinary approach,and then present the modern development of ancient Chinese library science from the perspective of academic transformation;Finally,through the historical research method,with the help of relevant historical materials to further understand the ancient library science,combined with the structure of academic transformation and historical development sequence to show the modern development process of ancient Chinese library science.The ancient library is the ancient library,and the ancient school library science is the ancient library science.Under this premise,according to the characteristics of modern academic transformation,four aspects: the awakening of academic independence,the transformation of academic thinking,the introduction of modern divisional concepts,and the creation of modern academic systems,are selected as the entry point for investigating the modernization of ancient library science.Therefore,the research framework of "modernization of ancient library science" is constructed.Among them,the awakening of the consciousness of academic independence presents the whole process of the development of traditional school science with the purpose of Taoism to modern library science,which reveals the essence of the transformation of ancient and modern library science from the aspect of academic independence;The transformation of thinking mode presents the process of transformation from "subjective" school science to "objective" library science,revealing the essence of the transformation of ancient and modern library science in terms of academic research thinking,research methods,and research objects;The introduction of the concept of academic division shows the transition from the development of Huitongzhi to the development of division,revealing the essence of the transformation of ancient and modern library science from the aspects of academic organization structure and existence;The establishment of the modern academic system reveals the reasons for the independent,scientific and stable development of modern library science from the perspective of the mechanism guarantee for the existence of academics.Chinese ancient library science developed into modern library science under the influence of the above academic transformation.Of course,there is no lack of the influence of Western-style academic theory and the integration of Western library science.It can be said that modern Chinese library science integrates Western-style academic theory on the academic basis of traditional school science and develops into the academic needed by modern society.The development of modern Chinese library science is entangled with the social changes,mixed with the crises and prejudices of the times,shouldering the responsibility and mission of national rejuvenation,formed in the fierce competition between ancient school library science and western library science.While the complex development environment of modern library science endows its academic value,it also brings certain difficulties to its transformation research.Studying the modern development of ancient school library science against the background of academic transformation can avoid the prejudice of the times and the one-sided research perspective,understand the essence of ancient school library science and modern library science from the academic itself,and reveal the development relationship between ancient and modern library science,Presenting the development history of Chinese library science.
