Lin Stage Story "library Science Thought

As the first existing monograph on Libraries in China,"The History of Lin Tai" isan important clue to explore the thoughts of Chinese ancient library science, which hasimportant implications for modern library science. This paper analyzed the writing,version and content of the book, and through understanding the official collectedbooks in the Northern Song Dynasty and the development of ancient library sciencesthought system, straighten out library activities, construction of library buildings andestablishment of position of national Library in the Northern Song Dynasty referred toby the book with general theories and principles of modern library science. It especiallyanalyzed the author's cognition of the library's functions and demonstrated theimportant value of the book. It also contrasted what the book referred to about libraryscience with modern library science and made modern interpretations of the author'sthought system of library science, which revealed ancient library science's implicationsfor modern society in the situation that in the modern libraries divided completely,some functions has been degenerated.
