According to the economic operation report of textile industry in 2019,the profit pressure of China's textile industry has increased significantly,and the benefits of most links in the industrial chain continue to be under pressure.Especially the small-sized textile enterprises,because of its traditional management mode and long supply chain links resulting in large inventory costs,seriously hindered the development of enterprises.More and more enterprises have realized the importance of implementing ERP system.There is lack of literatures related to the implementation of ERP system in small-sized textile enterprises,especially the one plays an essential role in the supply chain;therefore,this study focuses on the case study of ERP implementation in a textile company that is a small-sized company located in the Guangzhou Zhong Da textile business circle.This study obtains data through interviews,field observation,and document provide by the company.This study presents existing problems in the implementation of ERP system and examines its influence based on three aspects including(1)management,(2)organization,and(3)technology which includes business process management,boycott behavior of organization members in the process of change,system quality,and information quality.This also points out that the fundamental problem of A Textile Company's ERP system is that they only consider the initial cost and implementation time,and chose to implement a fixed package software instead of a customized one.Thus,this study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions including:(1)Implementing customized ERP software in the later stage with the participation of the decision-maker in the process of ERP system design and implementation;(2)considering the evaluation factors for the selection of ERP system referring from literature;(3)A Textile Company should improve the management,organization and technology level of the organization by applying the application ability of the existing ERP system at this stage.This includes CEO participation,training and effective communication,data backup,etc.,and make the overall planning of the ERP system for the company.Furthermore,this study is expected to lay a foundation for the subsequent system design or optimization for A textile company and provide reference for small and micro textile enterprises that are preparing to implement or are in the acceptance stage of ERP system.
