Research And Application Of RUP Technology In The ERP System

With the explosive growth of software scale, the development and maintainability of software increasingly has become more concerned in the industry. Traditional software development method, such as waterfall methodology development, has been unable to meet customers'needs, which varied from hour to hour. The RUP methodology is a kind of software engineering approach proposed as the combination of user needs and software development, which was through a process of iterative refinement to complete the mission.ERP is an enterprise synthetic management information system developed in the 1990s. It represents the direction and tendency of enterprise management in the future. But the ERP in the medium and small-sized enterprises has their distinct characteristics such as high cost, low efficiency, lack of IT personnel and complicated operation which influence the research and development of ERP system for medium and small-sized enterprises. It is extremely important that we how can develop medium and small-sized enterprises ERP system that is not only practical but also advanced. This problem will be studied and discussed in this thesis.Firstly, this paper researches the characteristics of small and medium-sized enterprises in our country and the distinction between small and medium-sized enterprises ERP system and traditional ERP systems. Then it is to analyze software development methods, and compare the RUP methodology with the traditional development methods, such as waterfall methodology, at the same time introduce the UML and its related technologies.Secondly, it aims at the RUP technology in the ERP of small-sized enterprises, and it proposes a kind of improved RUP software development method. And it is applied in sales management subsystem design and realization. In ERP system analysis and design process, it introduces several stages as analyzed, the design and construction emphatically. And using UML modeling method gives specific use case model, concept model and dynamic model. It boasts the advantages of the RUP methodology compared with traditional software development method.Finally, it takes the ERP system of Harbin Wusu Co., Ltd as application case, and shows the process of ERP software design and realization based on the technical framework of RUP. The feasibility and application value of the improved RUP method in the actual projects displayed fully.
