The Research And Implementation Of An ERP System For Small And Medium Sized Textile Enterprises

With the development of the times, information technology is becoming more and more important. The informatization of enterprise management has become an important factor to determine the competitiveness of enterprises. Domestic traditional textile enterprises have introduced the advanced ERP management technology from foreign enterprises. They can use the network and database technology and thus have improved the decision-making by the rapid collection of information, integration of advantageous resources and strengthening interaction. However,70% of the textile enterprises in China are small and medium sized ones, they are full of the features of Chinese style enterprise management. ERP technology from foreign countries is useful but not acclimatized. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the ERP technology for small and medium sized textile enterprises.Based on the ERP project in Yaying company, we have investigated the production management structure of it. Combing with the information management practice from Yaying company, we design a ERP system which is suitable for Yaying company by the integration of information management systems. The contributions of this thesis are as follows:Firstly, after introducing background knowledge, it analyzed the system requirements of the company. According to the requirements and driven by the enterprise business, we present the overall design of the ERP system, which includes the design principle, the system’s logical structure, system structure, interface design, and database design. Last but not least, the function of each module of the REP system is designed and implemented in detail.The developed ERP system can embody the management features of Yaying Company. Firstly, it forms the management platform of enterprise management, all functional departments are organically integrated and overcomed the problem of decentralization. Secondly, we redesigned and improved all the functional modules, provide an interface of unified standard. In doing so, we not only enhanced the data interaction between modules and the sharing of data, and avoided the problem of "information island", but also reduced the pressure of comprehensive coordination management among departments. Thirdly, according to the ERP theory of production management, based on the business flow, we designed and arranged rationally the productions and procurements. The ERP system can solve the contradictions among machines, technical workers, materials warehouse management and material reserves, poor productivity and waste of resources. Fourthly, the ERP system realized the informationization of financial management and released the enterprise from manual operation. And thus it enhanced the intensive role of finance in the enterprises, and offered satisfying decision support to top manager. The ERP system can not only improve the effectiveness of enterprise management, but also provide a good reference for other small and medium-sized textile enterprises in China.
