Analog to digital converter,that is,ADC converts continuous analog signals into discrete digital quantities.With the development of digital signal processing technology,the importance of ADCs has become more prominent.Among the many ADC structures,the successive approximation analog-to-digital converter(SAR ADC)has the characteristics of simple structure,low power consumption,high precision,and small area.It has important research in intelligent power distribution,industrial control,and portable electronic products.Significance has therefore become the focus of academic research.According to the power monitoring application field in smart power distribution,this paper uses a standard 180 nm CMOS process to design a 12-bit high-precision,lowpower SAR ADC with a sampling rate of 200 k S/s,and analyzes the key modules in the SAR ADC in detail.The non-ideal factors of each part have proposed improvements.In order to achieve the optimal design of the three dimensions of SAR ADC accuracy,power consumption and area,this design innovatively proposes an improved segmented-high-level split,low-level recombination capacitor array and a redundant error correction algorithm matching the capacitor array,The redundant error correction function is realized without adding redundant capacitors,and the full swing input voltage can be achieved using this method,reducing the area and cost.This thesis completed the design of the overall circuit of the SAR ADC,the precircuit simulation,and the layout design and post-simulation.The post-simulation results show that under the ss process angle and the temperature is 125?,the effective number of SAR ADC is 10.97 bit,the SFDR is 80.53 d B,and the maximum overall power consumption is 0.351 m W.The results show that the analog-to-digital converter designed in this paper has reached an advanced level in terms of accuracy and power consumption,and can meet the requirements of low power consumption and high precision in industrial measurement,intelligent power distribution monitoring and other fields.
