Research On Health Information Acquisition Behavior Of The Elderly

In recent years,my country's aging process has continued to deepen,and the country has issued a number of policies to actively respond to the health problems of the elderly.At the same time,the improvement of the quality of life and the improvement of the social welfare system have made the elderly pay more attention to their own health and expect a healthy lifespan.How to effectively obtain and use health information is of vital importance to the elderly.This article studies the behaviors of elderly health information acquisition from six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,clarifying the research background and research significance,sorting out relevant research at home and abroad,and introducing research ideas,methods and innovations.The second chapter elaborates related concepts and basic theories,including the scope of aging,health information,health information acquisition behavior and information acquisition model,and analyzes the behavior process of elderly health information acquisition.The third chapter takes Henan Province as an example to conduct a questionnaire survey on the health information acquisition behavior of the elderly,and summarizes the characteristics of the status quo of the elderly health information acquisition behavior.The fourth chapter uses grounded theory to code the interview data,constructs a theoretical model of factors influencing the elderly's health information acquisition behavior,and explains each influencing factor in the model.The fifth chapter proposes strategies to promote the behaviors of the elderly to obtain health information from the three levels of family,community and society.Chapter VI summarizes the article and prospects for future research.The research results are as follows: First,it summarizes the current status of health information acquisition behavior of the elderly in Henan Province: the health awareness of the elderly needs to be improved;the elderly are not fully concerned about health information,and they lack attention to policies and infrastructure health information;the elderly Obtaining health information is mainly through traditional channels,and the utilization of new media channels is low and poorly evaluated;most of the elderly's behavior in obtaining health information is limited by their own cognitive level and ability level;the age and educational background of the elderly The differences in occupation,economy,and living conditions bring about differences in their health information acquisition behaviors.Second,a theoretical model of factors affecting the health information acquisition behavior of the elderly is constructed.The model shows that demand factors,individual factors,information factors and health literacy will affect the elderly's health information acquisition.Environmental factors act on individual factors and health literacy.Thereby,it also has an impact on the elderly's health information acquisition behavior.Thirdly,it puts forward a strategy to promote the health information acquisition behavior of the elderly: family members should pay enough attention to actively guide the elderly to raise their health awareness,and guide the elderly to use online channels scientifically;the community should use various resources to actively carry out health education and skills training,To make up for the lack of digitization capabilities of the elderly,and promote the formation of a health-conscious community environment;the government and relevant social departments should strengthen health promotion and implement more practical policies to eliminate various obstacles that the elderly may encounter when they obtain health information.
