Cultivating children's reading interest and reading habits is the core part of children's language development, and can lay the foundation for their lifelong learning.Since there are differences in the physical and mental development of children at different ages, their mental maturity, reading ability, and reading needs are changing all the time. This requires public libraries to take advantage of their public welfare characteristics and follow the laws and regulations of children's physical and mental development.Reading ability provides them with efficient and appropriate graded reading services. However,in modern times, there is a lack of a certain evaluation system for whether the graded reading service for children in public libraries is carried out in a good and orderly manner. It is difficult to judge whether it is really beneficial to the physical and mental development of children, which leads to the actual graded reading service process. There are still many problems, which will more or less affect the reading experience of children's readers and reduce the quality and effect of graded reading services. Therefore, this article will use the balanced scorecard theory to construct a graded reading service evaluation system for children in my country, and take the Nanjing Library as the research object for empirical research.According to the results of the investigation and research,it is verified whether the evaluation system constructed is feasible, and at the same time, problems in the graded reading service for children are found and optimization suggestions are put forward,so as to help the development of graded reading service for children in public libraries.
