| Reading is not only the basic form of human civilization,but also an important means to enhance national quality and comprehensive national strength to cope with international competition.Reading promotion has value-oriented function and social integration function.It can inspire and shape people’s outlook on life,values and the world,regulate the behavior of social members,maintain social order and stability,and promote the comprehensive national strength.Nowadays,with the popularity of national reading and the development of public library,the promotion of reading in primary and secondary school libraries in China is in a very awkward position.A series of common problems,such as exam-oriented education squeezes reading time,Internet information flooding weakens reading motivation,the shortage of professional talents,the supporting facilities are not complete,outdated service management and teaching models,etc,lead to low utilization rate of library resources in primary and secondary schools,and not giving full play to the educational function of reading.Based on the above considerations,the author puts forward this topic to explore solutions to the problem.First of all,we should go back to the source and start with the concept to analyze and construct the core concept of "reading promotion in primary and secondary school libraries".It is for the general full-time primary school and junior high school teachers and students,parents groups of nine-year compulsory education in China’s mainland,with the school library as the main body of implementation,in order to improve the utilization rate of school library resources and expand the scope of service,ultimately to improve the reading ability of readers,and assist the comprehensive improvement of national education level as the foothold of reading promotion.Next,the macro meso micro three-dimensional theoretical system is established through literature analysis and speculation.Then,taking 200 primary and secondary school libraries in Jimo district as the objects of investigation,the questionnaire and interview outline of primary and secondary school library were compiled,and the questionnaire and interview were carried out to explore the problems,analyze the causes,and explain the original ecological problems and crux of the library in this area from multiple methods and perspectives.Finally,combined with the author’s many years of experience in front-line library management and education and teaching,drawing on the research results at home and abroad,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions: improve the main body of library reading promotion,strive for the object of library reading promotion,improve the evaluation of Library Reading Promotion,and pay attention to library reading promotion activities.It is hoped that a new mode of reading promotion in primary and secondary school libraries will eventually be established,which is characterized by school society linkage,meticulous service,long-term effectiveness and highlighting the effect of quality education. |
