Research On Reading Promotion Of Primary School Library In Baoding

Nowadays,the importance and significance of reading have been acknowledged by countries all around the world which is the reason that various forms of reading promotion activities was introduced and the promotion of children’s reading has been put in the priority in children’s education. In recent years, the nation wide reading program among children has been promoted actively in our country. However,there are many problems out of historical reason such as reading places and promotion activities for children are not enough, even in primary school,the reading environment for children is poor since the construction of primary school’s library wasn’t attached much importance to, therefore, Three-dimensional reading environment at home,school and society failed to form. To this problem, the writer thinks that the most favorable reading place for children is school library, so that the promotion of children’s reading should be developed in the primary school library.To provide reasonable suggestion,the writer did research on the construction of primary school library and reading promotion among 31 primary schools in Baoding city by questionaire and interview. According to the survey and analysis, the writer found that there existed the following problems: no relevant system.shortage of mon ey, insufficient hardware construction and unreasonable structure of staff’s number,age and major which are the main reason that hinder the promotion of children’s reading. Regarding to the feature of reading promotion, the writer suggests that construction of the primary library should be improved from its system,literature resources,talent group, making its promotion activities plentiful, promotion strategies updated, at the same time,providing topic reading sevices for teaching,in order to promote the children’s reading in primary school by realizing co-construction and resources--sharing.
