Chinese history has a long tradition of reading and has always attached importance to reading,In recent years,the country has issued a national reading initiative every year and encourages the development of various types of reading and promotion activities.Domestic government departments,library circles,academic circles and other social circles also Various forms of reading promotion activities have been organized and carried out.Although it appears that China's reading promotion activities are fruitful and show a good development trend,but compared with other countries in the world,especially the developed countries,what is the level and level of development of China's reading promotion activities? Where do you need to improve? This requires a clear understanding of China's reading promotion activities compared with foreign countries.The Western developed countries represented by the United States have carried out reading and promotion activities earlier.They have accumulated more experience in reading promotion theory research and practical operations.They compare the reading promotion activities of China and the United States together and compare them with each other.Read and understand the level of development of the promotion activities,absorb advanced experience,and find the right direction for China's reading promotion activities.In this paper,literature,comparison,induction and other specific research methods,first of all,through the retrieval of various Chinese and foreign databases as complete as possible to collect the Chinese and American reading promotion related research literature as the basic material,including Chinese and English papers,reports,electronic bulletin,books and other types of literature.Secondly,using the comparative method to compare the reading promotion activities of China and the United States in terms of subject,object,promotion form,and security conditions,and elaborate on the development of the two countries in these aspects,and then point out that China and the United States in the development of reading and promotion activities There is a gap.The gap is mainly reflected in the incompleteness of the main structure of reading promotion activities in China,the insufficient object types targeted by promotion activities,the incompleteness of the construction of the reading promotion activity guarantee system,insufficient promotional activities,and lack of influential reading and promotion activities.Brands and other aspects.Finally,using the induction method,aiming at the gaps in the development of reading and promotional activities between China and the United States,we sum up the development strategies of reading promotion activities that suit China's national conditions: that is,if China's reading promotion activities are to reach and exceed the level of development abroad,We should start from several aspects: improve the main structure of reading promotion,expand the types of promotion objects,consolidate the basis of protection,strengthen propaganda,build brand promotion activities for reading promotion,and establish an evaluation system for reading promotion activities and apply them.
