The public libraries play an irreplaceable role in the construction of socialist culture.They are important non-profit public cultural service organizations,and at the same time they are public cultural centers,information centers,and knowledge centers for citizens in certain regions.Wuhan library,founded in 1946,is the largest municipal library in Wuhan.It is one of the first national key protection units for ancient books and has been rated as a national first-class library.The Wuhan Library is an important part of Wuhan 's public cultural infrastructure and a basic place for lifelong learning for citizens.It spreads cultural knowledge to the public,enriches people's spiritual life,and plays an irreplaceable role in satisfying citizens' basic public cultural services.It is of great significance to study how to improve the reader satisfaction of wuhan library and improve the utilization rate of wuhan library to meet the needs of wuhan people for a better life.In addition,in the research on public libraries,reader satisfaction has always been the focus of the academic community,so this study can be a useful supplement to the literature on reader satisfaction.This paper uses the survey data to analyze the influencing factors of reader satisfaction in Wuhan City Library based on the structural equation model method and proposes countermeasures to improve reader satisfaction.First,building a reader satisfaction model that conforms to the characteristics of the Wuhan Library on the basis of studying the predecessor's theory and model of reader satisfaction.Second,based on the previously established model of reader satisfaction,the collected data is used to identify and estimate the model.Thirdly,according to the results of model estimation,the factors affecting the reader satisfaction of Wuhan Library are analyzed.Fourth,put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve the reader satisfaction of Hubei Provincial Library.After analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions:the research hypothesis has all been verified,that is,collection resources,hardware facilities,cultural activities,information services and the overall environment have a significant positive impact on reader satisfaction,with path coefficients of 0.374,0.247,0.248,0.200 and 0.186.Based on the conclusion of empirical analysis,this paper puts forward suggestions to improve the satisfaction of readers of Wuhan Library,including:Firstly,rational allocation of library resources.Specifically,the database should be expanded reasonably,and the scientific nature and effectiveness of the periodical should be guaranteed.And at the same time,the librarian work should be allocated reasonably.Second,focus on the construction of special activities.Specifically,expanding the publicity and influence of existing special activities,and developing new and innovative cultural activities,and at the same time expanding the audience of foreign cooperation special activities;Thirdly,improving the infrastructure and environment.Specifically,they should improve the construction and maintenance of the infrastructure such as desks,chairs,toilets,guide signs,etc.And they should regularly train librarians and readers to improve their service awareness and readers' awareness of self-help,and at the same time improving lighting and temperature,so as to create a good and suitable environment for reading.
