With the development of a new generation of electronic warfare systems,the Modern Millimeter wave Power Module(MMPM)has a trend of high frequency,high efficiency,high linearity and miniaturization.The 3mm band is an important high frequency band for millimeter waves,and its corresponding power module is the focus of today's power device research.The gain equalizer,as the key component of the power module,is mainly used to provide ideal input power for miniaturized traveling wave tubes.In the 3mm frequency band,the properties of the absorbing materials commonly used in the equalizer design are unstable,and the microstrip line and other structures have high frequency defects,which limit the research of the equalizer and the development of the 3mm power module.Consodering the characteristics of 3mm band,this paper proposes several millimeter wave gain equalizers based on the waveguide structure.1.In view of the problems of the 3mm band microstrip line structure,including the low-quality factor,the large loss and the unstable properties of the commonly used absorbing materials,this paper designs two types of 3mm gain equalizers based on the waveguide resonator.Both equalizers use a loss resistor circuit composed of a thin film resistor and a metal to absorb a specific frequency in the resonant cavity,which solved the problem of difficult absorption,large insertion loss,and low quality factor in the design of W-band equalizerand.And finally high absorption and high precision equalization effect can be achieved2.By improving the Split Ring Resonator(SRR),a new type of gain equalizer is proposed in this paper,and we several 3mm gain equalizers of different structures based on this.The overall cavity structure of this type of equalizer uses the WR10 standard waveguide as the main transmission channel,which does not require an additional cavity structure and is easy to integrate.The frequency selective absorption characteristics of the equalizer are all completed by the improved Split Ring Resonator which is loaded on the alumina ceramic substrate.The design is convenient since the equalization network can be fitted by adjusting the resonant ring.For some equalizer,the test and simulation of the whole frequency band error is less than 0.3dB,which proves the reliability of the design.3.This paper designs a 3mm gain equalizer which combines filter and coupler.The equalizer optimizes the reflected standing wave by guiding the reflected energy into other ports.And it can achieve a higher precision equalization effect.4.This paper designs a preamplifier module in the form of two-stage amplifier cascade,which enables the power output of the whole frequency band greater than 15 dBm.A variety of balanced amplification module modules are implemented in conjunction with the above equalizers.
