Traveling wave tube amplifiers(TWTAs) and solid-state power amplifiers(SSPAs) are the two main amplifier choices for military equipment, they have some flaws, but Microwave power module(MPM) combining the virtues of them. It is widely used in unmanned synthetic aperture radar, satellite communications terminals and aerial vehicles and other military equipment. Microwave power modules is constitutive of solid state drive amplifier(SSA), small traveling wave tube(mini-TWT) and integrated power. Microwave solid state drives not only provide front-end drive power traveling wave tube, more importantly, through the power balance, solve TWT gain uneven problems. Therefore, as the key part of the SSPA, the equalizer need to decay power for each frequency in accordance with the demand of power.This paper based on the comprehensive methods and design principles of equalizer, not only achieved a 2-6GHz microwave gain equalizer with folding manner on the basic of 1/4 wavelength open stub, and that applied it to the 2-6GHz solid-state drive module. Due to conventional resonator have some problem in designing equalizer, its fewer design parameters are unable to meet the needs of more complex equalization curve design. To solve this problem, we study the dual-mode resonator, and applied it to the 2-6GH gain equalizer. This equalizer has more design parameters, it can be fixed at a low frequency(high) loss of zero, while the high-frequency(low) zero loss left(right) shift in the design process, and make equalizer design more simple. Aiming at miniaturization problem of 2-6GH gain equalizer, we proposed an equalizer structure based on lumped circuit configuration, and achieved lumped inductance and lumped capacitance with LCP multilayer circuit technology, designed and achieved lumped structure equalizer, which effectively reduces the size of the microwave Equalizer, realized compact design of 2-6GHz microwave gain equalizer.
