| As a new kind of microwave power modules,a MPM consisting of a broad-band TWT, a solid-state power driver and an Integrated Power Conditioning, is a very important part in a next-generation electronic military system, and the milli-meter wave power module(MMPM) will be well developed as follows.In this paper, for the theory of the MPM's consist, the solid-state power driver is analyzed, then a circuit diagram for the driver is proposed. The diagram consists of a broadband MMIC amplifier and a integrated microstrip power equalizer, and can supply the TWT with driving power and gain equalization.In this thesis, a convenient designing method for the microwave broadband power equalizer has been proposed, with a circuit template based on the microstrip resonators loaded resister is designed and optimized by CAD, and finally achieve the practice broadband microwave power equalizer that satisfies the target. The microwave solid-state power driver which consists of broadband MMIC amplifier and the equalizer carried out by this method, can exhibits a gain of 30 dB, saturated output power of 500 mW, and a gain equalizing factor over 12dB in 6-18Ghz. The solid-state power driver satisfies well the request of the MPM.In order to adapt the development from the MPM to the MMPM, this paper has done some exploringly research on the milli-meter wave equalizer and proposed a circuit template that can carry the power equalizer in Ka band out. This thesis has proved the feasibility of realizing the milli-meter wave power equalizer used this circuit template by the way of computer simulation and experiment,and finally concludes a useful method for designing the milli-meter wave power equalizer. |
