Equalizers play an important role in the transmitter of microwave communication and radar system. Emerging wide band transmitter used in wireless communication and radar system applications continue to challenge RF/microwave equalizers with even more stringent requirements-higher performance, smaller size, lighter weight, and lower cost. The method, using the gain equalizer to improve the performance of the transmitter module, has solve the some key problems of power amplifier based on existent technology. The combination of the Gain Equalizer and TWT has been paid close attention to.Based on the synthesis of resonator filters, a series of compact planar filters have been proposed. These equalizers have high maximum insertion loss, needed insertion loss at certain frequency, and low return loss. It is believed that these proposed equalizers will be applied in the compact size and high-performance circuit design. To begin with, a convenient designing method for the microwave broadband gain equalizer has been proposed, with a circuit template based on the microstrip resonators loaded resister is designed and optimized by EDA software, and finally achieves the broadband microwave gain equalizer that satisfies the target. The microwave solid-state power driver which consists of the equalizer carried out by this method, can exhibits a gain equalizing factor over 10dB in 4~8GHz, 8~16GHz, and it is the first time to achieve over 20dB gain equalizing factor in 6~18GHz. The equalizers not only satisfies the request of the MPM etc. well, and also can be used in the ordinary TWT, even the the broad band planar HMIC.In order to adapt to the development of microwave power module to the millimeter-wave band, as well as the gain flatness requirements of solid-state millimeter-band power amplifier, we do some research on the millimeter-wave in this paper. A Ka-band equalizer has been made and achieves a equalizer circuit topology. Using computer simulation and physical testing proved that the theory and the structure of the circuit millimeter wave power to achieve the feasibility of equalization. Find a useful method to improve the loss problem in the high frequency which is met in the previous research.
