With the development of Microwave Power Module technology, Miniaturizationtraveling wave tube in the application of microwave power module is more and morewidely. The requirement of the equalizer is also higher and higher, including highprecision, small volume index is especially important.In this thesis, according to the theory and microwave gain microstrip transmissionline equilibrium theory, the structure of the microstrip gain equalizer design method wasstudied. And based on the electromagnetic field simulation software HFSS and highfrequency circuit design software ADS, we discussed2~6GHz microwave powermodule application requirements of high performance gain equalizer.In the design process, the ADS software to circuit model simulation design speedand HFSS software to electromagnetic field simulation results accurate advantagescombined, using precise modeling simulation technology, and optimize the designmethod of the equalizer quickly. In2~6GHz gain equalizer development process,through the side length, width, the resistance parameters change of the simulation, themaster above factors on the simulation results, the effect of the design of action for later,can shorten the design cycle, improve the odds of success for a design.In this thesis,study the gain of design process, the equalizer design model andquick design method, which can be applied to other microwave frequency bandequalizer gain design.By test, this thesis developed2~6GHz gain equalizer and target equilibriumcurve the maximum error of just1.3dB; The gain equalizer installation at the wave tubemeasured, the traveling wave tube by10dB gain volatility reduced to1.2dB, theadvantages of small size, high precision balance, the characteristics of the developmentof the MPM to lay a good foundation.
