Since 2012,Russia's state media and Russian liberal media have not only become increasingly concerned about bilateral relations between China and Russia, but have also begun to pay more attention to China's foreign policy, especially China's relations with the United States.Xi Jinping's appointment as the chairman of China marks a new historical course of development of China's domestic and foreign policy. The "Chinese Dream" has become an ideology of China's development. The new political course of Russia and China is based on patriotism and strengthening national identity and protection of national interests. And this course has caused a high level of confrontation in the West, primarily in the United States.China has a strong media system to ensure domestic information security.Russian media system is still not strong enough. The starting point of this study is the specific, similarities and differences between Russian state media and Russian liberal media on Russian-Chinese relations. The study used content analysis and frame work analysis.I have chosen The “Russian Gazette” and “Echo of Moscow” radio station as sample sources for Russian state media and Russian liberal media. One of the main goals of the state newspaper "Russian Gazette" is to dispel the myths and stereotypes about China that came to Russian society from the West, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The other main goal to achieve is to strengthen Russia-China relations through reports. In order to achieve two main goals,"Russian Gazette" is trying to make the objective reporting on China's domestic and foreign policies. On the other hand, the Russian liberal media fully supports the US view on Russia's role in the international arena and tries to prevent the development of Russia-China relations. To achieve this goal, the Russian liberal media used stereotypes of “Chinese threat”,and making efforts to misrepresent the Chinese economy and anti-corruption policies. The most important task of the Russian liberal media is to explain to the Russian society that Russia has no chance to live without the West. The key point of Russian liberal media propaganda is to convince Russia to abandon its international positions and accept Western political valuesand rules.Only through this way can let Russia become a member of the western international community. The study found that there are several different news frames in the Russian state media and in the Russian liberal media reports. The frame work of the state Russian media includes: 1)A common interest.Modern Russian-Chinese relations don't have relationship model of “big brother and younger brother”.Russia-China relations are based on mutual respect and common interests.2)Economic cooperation.Russia and China economic cooperation will ensure the security of Eurasia, because Russia and China have reached an agreement on the docking of two economic projects;3)China's soft power.Soft power of China aims to shape the country's good image and assist China to establish constructive and cooperative relationship with other members of the “Silk road” project and with the world in general;4)The world order. The growth of cooperation between Russia and China reflects the change of the concept of "unipolar world" and the beginning of the establishment of the "multi-polar world" order.Russia and China were fighting against Germany's and Japanese fascism during the Second world war,and both countries suffered the greatest loss during the war.So at the modern times Russia and China are committed to maintaining peace and stability in the world. The Russian liberal media mainly uses the framework of the unequal relations between Russia and China, and the framework of China's political and economical crisis: 1)Liberal journalists believe that after Russia and China signed gas contract, the pattern of Russia-China relations has undergone major changes, and China has become Russia's “eldest brother”,but Russia has become China's “younger sister”;2)China will use the US sanctions to reduce Russian gas prices;3)Russia-China cooperation is Putin's mistake;4)The fall of Shanghai stock market undermines the international community's trust in the Chinese economy. It is worth noting that,in order to create a tense atmosphere in Russian society and create fear of China in Russian society,Russian liberal media used negative vocabulary while reporting on China. However, the state Russian media is committed to objectively reporting on China's domestic and foreign policies and supporting China's foreign policy on the road to China's revival.
