"People's Daily" Report On Autism Report

As a kind of mental development disorder that occurs in infants and young children,autism has been described for the first time in clinical practice since the 1940 s.Worldwide,the incidence of autism has been one in ten thousand,thousands of points.One,one percent,rose to one in four.According to conservative estimates from the survey data,among the 1.3 billion people in China,the number of people with autism exceeds 10 million,and it is growing at a rate of nearly 200,000 per year.Among children aged 0-6 years with mental illness,the proportion of disability caused by autism is as high as 78%.For autistic patients with a population of nearly 8 million and an age range of 16 to 40 years old,they are in a predicament of “nowhere to go” and “no dependence”,and the employment rate is less than 10%.In real life,this disease has not received enough attention,and society has different degrees of prejudice and misunderstanding of patients and their families.Autism is not only a topic of research in the medical field,but also a health and social issue that requires public attention.As an important way for the public to learn information and understand the environment,the media plays an irreplaceable role in the process of health communication and bears particularly prominent social responsibilities.This article selects "People's Daily" as the research object,and uses its content analysis method,systematic analysis and multi-faceted "People's Daily" report on autism.The study found that People's Daily's attention to autism and its patient population has gradually increased.The number of reports showed obvious stage characteristics,and the overall trend was a tortuous trend;the report highlighted social care,the emotional tone was positive,and there were reports of anxiety.More than half of the reports are under a thousand words,and most of the pictures are pictures of the news scene.The report covers eight major regions of the country,reflecting the vision of the People's Daily as a national newspaper,but the focus is on autistic group of underage patients,the investigation of older patients,and the life status of the patients and the family's mentality.The display has yet to be strengthened.In response to the existing problems,the paper ends with a few glimpses,in order to provide some reference for the media to report on the scientific and warmth of autism.
