Content Analysis Of COVID-19 Epidemic Report On People's Daily Official Account

ince ancient times,the impact of public health emergencies on human life and health safety has always been devastating and irreversible.During the outbreak of major public health events,the media assume the important responsibility of information transmission between the government and the audience.Timely,accurate and objective media reports can play an important role in effectively guiding public opinion,relieving public panic,reducing social harm and maintaining social stability.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the reports of emergent public health events from the perspective of media for better and faster risk control and prevention of crisis spread.The COVID-19 epidemic broke out in China at the end of 2019.In order to control the epidemic as soon as possible,the Chinese government quickly made work arrangements.As the party media,People's Daily paid great attention to the publicity and reporting of this public health emergency,and carried out full-time epidemic reports on multiple platforms.This paper takes the People's Daily WeChat official account as the research object,using the Literature analysis,content analysis and text analysis,combining frame theory,crisis communication theory,a detailed study was conducted of 1,607 reports of the outbreak published in the public account between December 30,2019,and May 2,2020.The article starts from five aspects: the general situation of the report,the content of the report,the form of the report,the report in different stages,and the influencing factors of the article "Watching Number".analyzes the media presentation of the People's Daily WeChat official account in this public health emergency,finds out the problems existing in the report,and puts forward some constructive suggestions.This "Anti epidemic war" is a major test of the modernization of China's governance system and governance capacity,as well as a test of the mainstream media's response capacity.As an important member of the new media group of mainstream media,People's Daily WeChat should give full play to the professional level and ability of authoritative media in responding to public health emergencies,strive to win the "epidemic prevention and control propaganda war",and make contributions to maintaining social stability and restoring economic development.Through this study,I hope to contribute to the improvement of the People's Daily WeChat public account public health emergency report.
