Research On The Poverty Alleviation Report Of People's Daily(2012-2020)

Poverty is a common problem all over the world and one of the important obstacles to world peace and development and people's happiness index.The eradication of poverty is the dream of mankind and the basic right of peoples to pursue a happy life.To this end,countries have undertaken different forms,sizes and types of anti-poverty activities.After the convening of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core placed the fight against poverty in a prominent position in governing the country,as the bottom line task of building a well-off society in an all-round way.Organized and carried out a huge fight against poverty.In solving the problem of absolute poverty that has plagued the Chinese nation for thousands of years,great historical achievements have been made,and the miracle in the history of human poverty reduction has been created.In this process,a large number of media have carried out poverty alleviation reports,which have played an important role in recording the great process of poverty alleviation and development in China,showing the great achievements made in poverty alleviation and development,explaining the theory and system of poverty alleviation and development with Chinese characteristics,and carrying out international exchanges and cooperation in the field of poverty reduction,further highlighting the political advantages of the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics.Among them,People's Daily,with its authoritative information,detailed content,rich perspective,diverse styles,excellent style of writing,has become the main force of poverty alleviation reports.This study takes People's Daily as the research object,with the help of content analysis and discourse analysis,studies the poverty alleviation reports carried out by People's Daily from 2012 to 2020.According to the relevant theory and research practice,a total of 19 analytical categories are set up.Through the statistics of category variables,the paper presents the characteristics of poverty alleviation report of People's Daily in the selected period,including the significance of poverty alleviation topic,the guidance of report content,the tendency of report theme and angle of view,the diversity of genre and form of poverty alleviation report,the viewpoint of poverty alleviation report and the balance of region,etc.On this basis,this paper studies the news framework used by People's Daily in the construction of poverty alleviation issues from three angles: high level,middle level and low level.The research shows that at the high level,nine framework structures,such as leaders' poverty alleviation framework,poverty alleviation achievement display framework,precision poverty alleviation framework and grass-roots exploration framework,are mainly adopted.At the middle level,the main event framework,oral response framework and outcome impact framework are highlighted,and the event background framework and evaluation framework are desalinated.At a low level,using the words of poverty alleviation report text as the object of analysis,using Python to carry out accurate participle and construct corpus,through the method of high frequency word statistics and co-word analysis,it is found that the people's daily poverty alleviation report in this period uses a large number of restrictive modifiers to highlight the objectivity of the report,construct the news text around "who helps,who helps and how to help ",construct the image of the poor masses as the poor suffering group and the beneficiaries of poverty alleviation and development,and construct the image of the government as the active promoter of poverty alleviation and development.Based on the analysis results of the news framework,the statistical data of some categories in the comprehensive content analysis and the specific contents of the selected text,this paper further explores the social reality picture constructed by the poverty alleviation report of the people's Daily in this period from the macro,meso and micro levels,It mainly includes seven aspects: the arduous task of overcoming poverty in our country in the new period,the great importance that the party and the state attach to the cause of poverty alleviation,the leadership of the Communist Party of China is the fundamental guarantee for the Chinese people to get rid of poverty,precision is the core and essence of poverty alleviation and development,the United front and the "trinity" pattern of poverty alleviation,the happy life created by poverty alleviation and development for the poor people,and the important contribution of China's poverty alleviation and development to the cause of international poverty reduction.In this period,People's Daily also has some shortcomings in the process of constructing poverty alleviation issues,that is,the poor groups are marginalized and supporting to a certain extent.It is mainly reflected in the fact that the poverty alleviation report does not fully show the subjective initiative of the poor people,lacks enough attention to the new poor groups in the process of urbanization,and involves less problems in other fields other than the political and economic fields.In view of the above-mentioned problems,and in the light of the current national policies and guidelines on consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation,stabilizing the effectiveness of poverty alleviation and further linking up the strategy of rural revitalization,the People's Daily in the new period puts forward five areas,namely,adhering to the main position of the masses and stimulating the initiative of the masses;linking various media to form a communication force;focusing on consolidating the achievements of poverty alleviation and monitoring the trend of returning to poverty;strengthening the construction of the contingent of talents and improving the comprehensive quality of journalists;strengthening international communication and constructing the image of a great country in the field of poverty reduction.The poverty alleviation report carried out by the people's Daily is a true record of China's poverty alleviation and development cause,a vivid epitome of the great practice of overcoming poverty and tackling key problems,and a clear portrayal of the Party's leading all the people to forge ahead.Although there are some shortcomings and drawbacks,in the past eight years,it has still accomplished the duties and missions entrusted by the Party and the state,and has also provided a useful reference for other media to carry out poverty alleviation reports.Getting rid of poverty is not the end,but the beginning of a new life and a new struggle.In the new era,People's Daily will continue to play a constructive role in helping to consolidate poverty and rural revitalization.
