The change of information environment makes the abuse of information literacy more and more obvious.On the basis of constantly rethinking and reconstructing of information literacy,foreign scholars have put forward a more inclusive new concept:Metaliteracy.Metaliteracy is a comprehensive framework for raising root local,self reference,emphasizes the meta cognition and critical thinking,more information literacy can adapt to the new media era.It is of great significance for enriching the educational function of the university library,cultivating the college students with comprehensive quality,and can also adapt to the international trend.The author investigated the education practices related to metaliteracy of World-class universities top30.we found that the teaching content of metaliteracy of these universities is abundant,and the teaching characteristics are also outstanding.Then the author introduced the metaliteracy practice of New York State University.The education methods include:to carry out meetings or lectures of metaliteracy,to create an open and cooperative teaching team,carry out metaliteracy MOOCs and budges.Then the author investigated the course of metaliteracy of top25 schools in China and the online course of metaliteracy.Found that there are shortcomings in teaching methods,teaching staff,and teaching content.By comparing the current situation of metaliteracy education in Chinese and foreign university libraries,learning the successful teaching experience of metaliteracy in foreign university libraries,reviews the deficiency of elemental education in university libraries in China.,the author thinks that we should seize the opportunity to educate the metalitracy in our country.Set up a collaboration group for the learning of metaliteracy,give full play to the educational leading role of the library,rely on the joint efforts of many parties,promote the transformation of information literacy to the metaliteracy.At the same time,the strategies of metaliteracy education in China are put forward,including:the ministry of education and Industry Association supports the promotion of metaliteracy,we should build a scientific teaching team for metaliteracy and enrich the teaching courses and teaching methods and so on.
