21st century is the most important feature of information technology and knowledge. Toaccommodate this need, it is necessary to improve information literacy of the nation-wide,effectively maximize the utility of information and knowledge. Today, countries all over theworld have been fully aware of the importance of information literacy for individuals andcountries, people with information literacy, effective access to information, access toinformation and evaluation of information, truly make the most of information. Thus,information literacy education has been an important task not only the university, as well asimportant task of the whole society.Information literacy is the people formed a stable in the information environment basedon the personality of its cultural meaning, include information awareness, information literacy,information literacy, information ethics in four areas. College students as a backbone forfuture nation construction, strengthen national information literacy education, College anduniversity students themselves have a very important significance. Especially after access tothe information society, information literacy has become one of the basic skills of peopleunder the new environment, has become a more important element in the implementation ofquality-oriented education.This article to information literacy research background, first pointed out that with therapid development of information technology and Internet technology, mankind has enteredthe information society, information literacy research has received more and more attention athome and abroad, on the corner of University students ’ information literacy education.Connotation of information literacy through the evaluations, both at home and abroad toestablish evaluation indicators of information literacy and information literacy education bothat home and abroad for research, more in-depth understanding of information literacy,information literacy for this study approaches provide the basis. I by Changchun NormalUniversity conducted a questionnaire survey of University students’ information literacy inschools, study and statistical analysis of the results, library use and around the UniversityLibrary in the information literacy training role in support of an investigation. Through theanalysis of the survey results, explore ways to solve problems, and the establishment ofinformation literacy education mode in colleges and universities, so as to enhance students ’information literacy education provides reference.
