Nowadays,social development has entered the era of knowledge economy;under the background of economic globalization,competition among countries increasingly represents the competition between the country's scientific and technological innovation and intellectual property rights,intellectual property rights has become an important strategic resource.As information literacy is in the information society,intellectual property literacy is an essential skill and cultural accomplishment for every member of society in a knowledge-based economy.The university libraries serve the national talent training and the university science and technology innovation system.While spreading knowledge,carrying out intellectual property literacy education is an important measure for university libraries to support the construction of intellectual property power strategy in China.Based on the analysis of the connotation of the intellectual property literacy,this paper presents a thorough study on the strategy and mechanism of the intellectual property literacy education of university libraries;Also,this paper conduct a survey on the present situation of the intellectual property literacy education of university libraries in China.The author analyzes the problems and shortcomings of the educational activities from the three aspects of talent reserve,education effectiveness and related mechanism,and put forward the corresponding strategies and suggestions.
